Paul Schmitz ist ein Kriegskind. Geboren 1945, Vater unbekannt. Seine Mutter liebte einen amerikanischen Soldaten, der in Sourbrodt (Belgien) stationiert war. Aus dieser Beziehung wurde Paul Schmitz geboren.<\/p>\n

Seinen Vater hat er nie gekannt. Erst 60 Jahre nach dem Krieg hat er den Mut gefunden, seine Identit\u00e4t zu erforschen und nach seinem Vater zu suchen. Die Recherchen dauerten f\u00fcnf Jahre und endeten in den USA.<\/p>\n

Paul Schmitz sammelt alle Informationen und f\u00fchrt sie – m\u00fchsam wie Mosaiksteinchen – zusammen. Mit seinem Buch \u201cKriegskind. Die Suche nach meinem amerikanischen Vater\u201d m\u00f6chte Paul Schmitz jedem Betroffenen Mut machen, seine unbekannten Wurzeln zu suchen. Das Buch versteht sich auch als Zeitdokument. Es beleuchtet bisher nicht behandelte Aspekte des Krieges.<\/p>\n
