Ihr Leben liest sich wie ein Roman: Die J\u00fcdin Ir\u00e8ne N\u00e9mirovsky wurde als Tochter eines der reichsten Bankiers Russlands 1903 in Kiew geboren. Leichtigkeit, Lebenslust, Esprit und k\u00fcnstlerische Ambitionen bestimmten schon fr\u00fch ihr Leben. W\u00e4hrend der Oktoberrevolution flieht die Familie nach Frankreich und geh\u00f6rt schnell zu einer der attraktiven Adressen der besseren Kreise. Ir\u00e8ne ver\u00f6ffentlicht ihren ersten Roman und ist bald der Star der Pariser Literaturszene. Als der Zweite Weltkrieg ausbricht und die Deutschen vor Paris stehen, geht sie 1940 mit ihrem Mann und den zwei kleinen T\u00f6chtern in die Provinz. Hier beginnt sie mit der Niederschrift von \u00bbSuite fran\u00e7aise\u00ab. Der Roman ist geplant als Abfolge in f\u00fcnf Teilen \u2013 nur zwei wurden vollendet. Im Fr\u00fchsommer 1942 wird die Autorin nach Auschwitz deportiert. Kurze Zeit sp\u00e4ter kommt sie dort zu Tode. Ihr literarisches Verm\u00e4chtnis wird von ihren T\u00f6chtern wie ein Schatz geh\u00fctet und erst \u00fcber 60 Jahre nach ihrem Tod wiederentdeckt. \u00bbSuite fran\u00e7aise\u00ab erz\u00e4hlt mitten aus dem Krieg \u2013 als sei die Zeit angehalten. Der erste Teil \u00bbSturm im Juni\u00ab schildert die Zeit im Sommer 1940, als die deutsche Armee vor Paris steht und die Bewohner fluchtartig die Stadt verlassen. Der zweite Teil \u00bbDolce\u00ab spielt 1942 in einem von den Deutschen besetzten Dorf in der Provinz.<\/p>\n

Ir\u00e8ne N\u00e9mirovsky h\u00e4lt in ihrem Roman Frankreich einen Spiegel vor. Mit luzidem psychologischen Blick beobachtet sie ihre Mitmenschen, beschreibt Niedertracht und Selbstgef\u00e4lligkeit, Hoffnung und Illusion, Lebensgier und die gro\u00dfe Sehnsucht nach Frieden. \u00bbSuite fran\u00e7aise \u00ab ist eine perfekt durchkomponierte literarische Bilderfolge und ein eindringliches historisches Zeitzeugnis und wird zurecht weltweit als gro\u00dfes Werk gefeiert.<\/p>\n
